Cameroon-UAE Investment Forum was held on 1–5 August 2023 in Yaoundé, Cameroon
Event was dedicated to highlighting Cameroon’s best investment projects. UAE business leaders had an opportunity to hold highly focused meetings with Cameroon companies and understand viability of each economic sector.
Over 30 investors from the United Arab Emirates have been assured that Cameroon is a veritable investment destination and gateway to do business in Central Africa and beyond. Cameroon has the enormous economic potential and investment opportunities through its rich natural resources, multiplied on its strategic continental location as a destination for business in all domains.
George Gvilava, Axellect Managing Director, traveled to Cameroon as part of the Emirates delegation, headed by the Dubai Minister of Economy. “The country offers tremendous opportunities for investors from the UAE and beyond,” stated George Gvilava, noting that he was amazed by his five-day stay in the country. As part of the trip, George was at meetings with representatives of the Union Bank of Cameroon, BGFI BANK, NFC Bank and United bank of Africa.
Also, there was an official meeting with the Prime Minister of Africa. Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Professor Cheka Cosmas Ngasah said: “Cameroon is the gateway to do business in Central Africa and the rest of Africa. We are at the junction. Our intention is to take advantage of these natural gifts to make sure that other countries that are less endowed also benefit.”
